Release of 2009.2
The recent release of 2009.2 includes a major enhancement to Campus Messenger with Voice.
If your district decides to purchase Campus Messenger with Voice, powered by ShoutPoint, you will be able to take advantage of several key benefits:
- You can leverage your Infinite Campus data and the system’s integration and not have to deal with data exports to a third-party product – critical in times of an emergency.
- Your district no longer will need to rely on third-party software for emergency notifications, reducing overall technology management expenses.
- Because the system is based on VOIP (voice over Internet protocol) from ShoutPoint, your district will no longer have long distance charges or have to invest in costly hardware.
Campus Messenger with Voice, powered by ShoutPoint, leverages Infinite Campus system data to immediately distribute critical, large volume calls. Infinite Campus integration ensures the most current telephone numbers are used to immediately make calls.
ShoutPoint technology is high-volume call routing through call centers located across the United States via voice-over Internet protocol or VOIP service. This service provides dedicated ports and allows Infinite Campus customers the ability to prioritize emergency traffic when needed. District customers will no longer have to invest in hardware or long distance charges. Campus Messenger with Voice, powered by ShoutPoint, will also continue to provide normal daily voice communications needs such as attendance dialing, behavior incidents and other district-specific notices.
Campus Messenger with Voice 2009.2 is currently in pilot testing and is scheduled for general availability March 2009. ShoutPoint telephone service may also be eligible for Federal E-rate funding.
*This enhancement is available for any Infinite Campus customer regardless of size or hosting model at a reasonable pricing structure.
