Lockers
Student Locker information can be easily maintained using tools within NASIS.

Set up and Assignment:
Lockers, locks, combinations, locker locations, etc., must be created in the System Administration>Resources before the student’s locker tab can be used.

The Locker Location tab provides a place to organize wings or sections of buildings with lockers. It is essentially a placeholder for lockers. This location appears on locker reports and is used in the generation of locker assignments.

System Administration>Resources>Locker Location

The Lockers tab lists the locker numbers, combinations the locker may have and its location. Users can also assign lockers to a certain grade level. This is used in the locker assignment wizard by assigning lockers only to students in that grade level. Duplicate locker numbers cannot be created.

System Administration>Resources>Lockers

The Locks tab provides information on locks that are attached to student lockers. Users can list the serial number, the type of lock it is and the combination of the lock.

System Administration>Resources>Locks

The Locker tab within Student Information lists the student’s locker number, combination, location, etc. Lockers may be assigned individually or by using the Locker Assignment Wizard. The source of this information is in System Administration>Resources. Lockers can also be deleted or end dated on this tab.

Student Information>General>Lockers

The Locker Roster Assignment Tool is designed for specific instructors to assign lockers to students. The instructor must know which lockers are available and the serial numbers to the pad locks the students will use. This tool can only be used if the lockers and locks are entered in System Administration>Resources.

Locker Management

There are several Wizards to help manage student lockers:

1. Combination Rotation Wizard
System Administration>Lockers>Combination Rotation Wizard

The combination rotation wizard allows the school to designate which locker combination is active for the school year. It may also be used to set all lockers to a particular combination sequence and to shuffle combinations among lockers. Locker information must be set up in System Administration>Resources before this tool can be used.

2. Locker Schedule Wizard
System Administration>Lockers>Locker Schedule Wizard

This Locker Schedule Wizard provides the ability to assign lockers to students en masse. Locker information must be set up in System Administration>Resources before this tool can be used.

3. Locker Batch End Wizard
System Administration>Lockers>Locker Batch End Wizard

This wizard allows the user to end or delete multiple locker assignments.

There are also some helpful Reports that can be used when managing lockers, located in System Administration>Lockers>Reports:

1. Vacant Locker Report – looks at the total list of lockers entered in System Administration>Resources and displays lockers that are not currently assigned to students.

2. Locker Combination Report – looks at all currently enrolled students and lists the locker information, which is noted on the Lockers tab.

This article is meant to outline the locker process at a very high level. For much more detailed information, please see the User Guide – Lockers found on the Customer Portal under the Documentation menu.
